While USG’s original prototype was a vital demonstration of the product’s potential, its architecture and toolchain were never intended to support long-term scalability and performance. The transition from concept to reality required rethinking several critical technical dimensions:
- Architectural evolution: The prototype’s Revit-dependent structure limited flexibility and scalability. Pelogic led a full architectural renovation, building an independent geometry engine and modular infrastructure to support ongoing innovation.
- Geometry & layout logic: Initial approaches to ceiling layout logic relied on tightly coupled Revit behaviors. Pelogic introduced a custom engine capable of handling complex layout scenarios, delivering more resilient, accurate, and scalable performance.
